Other Riser Cards
These riser cards are valuable tools in the test and production field. They help protect the gold fingers of the add-on board from wear out due to repeated insertion cycles. They can also be utilized on the motherboard to enable the user to test the add-on boards frequently without causing damage to the connector on the motherboard. These risers are also a good solution for raising our bus isolation extender to the user's desired height.

CNRIX - CNRIX is a CNR Bus Isolation Extender that allows user to test the CNR add-on boards quickly without having to power the system down each time. It is especially designed to save valuable labor and time in production testing environment. It is also a great tool for engineers during product development while many changes and testing are required. It provides total power and signal isolation between the motherboard and the board under test. It can be controlled manually by an on-board toggle switch or by external TTL signals through PC's parallel port. Besides saving time for testing, it also protects the motherboard from damages. DDR2-01- - 240 pin DDR2 Riser Card with angle cut, designed NOT to be latched by the DDR2 socket. A special version (-CSR) that accommodates a current sensing resistor for current measurement is available upon request. Dimension - H: 0.57" x W: 5.25" (NOT including socket ears).
MPCIEX- - MiniPCI extender, 124 pin Type III. It
has a small footprint, designed to fit inside the opening of a laptop computer,
with a tall MiniPCI connector to clear the laptop's case. There is a on-board
LED 3.3V indicator plus a jumper to allow external 3.3V input. All power lines
can be fused or bridged with a DMM for current measurement purpose. In the
standard configuration, a Mini-PCI connector with holding clips is provided. For
faster testing operation, user can choose a straight in / out connector without
the clips, by adding a -S suffix to the part number.
Dimension - H: 1.75" x W: 2.35" (based board, not including the
connector).
MPCIFLEX- - MiniPCI 124 pin, Type III flexible
extender . This flexible extender allows the user to bring the Mini-PCI port
out, from under the laptop. It can be positioned in any direction for testing
purpose. It also provides test points on all the signals on both sides of the
board. In the standard configuration, a Mini-PCI connector with holding clips
is provided. For faster testing operation, user can choose a straight in / out
connector without the clips, by adding a -S suffix to the part number.
User can specify any cable length, however, for reliable operation, the cable
should be no longer than 4". Headers for the test points can be ordered
with a -H option. Top board dimension - H: 1.68"
x W: 2.35" (not including the connector). Bottom board dimension - H: .94"
x W: 2.35".
